Basraeth, The Iron Spine

“Forged in silence, beneath the mountain roots. A metal that sings to the void.”

Basraeth is a continent split by vast mountain ranges and shaped by ancient magics, celestial disasters, and the remnants of civilizations long buried under ash and stone. Known to most as The Iron Spine, it is home to wonder, horror, and history—etched deep into its landscapes.
Basraeth is a land torn between ancient tradition and evolving alliances. Split by the monumental Mount Vrakthul, its eastern and western peoples walk separate paths, both scarred by history, magic, and the remnants of titans.

  • In Elven, Basraeth can mean “Divided Radiance” or “Shattered Crown”.

  • In Dwarvish, it stems from Baas-raeth, meaning “Land of Broken Stone”.

  • In Common folklore, it is said to mean “The First Scar”, referring to the Aether Abyss.
